About Aaglod

As a credible story, a dedicated ascetic names Shri Shantisomji used to live in the village of Aaglod. He as a devotee of Shri Manibhadra Veer Maharaj. Once he came to Magarvada and did rigorous worship along with “Nirjal Upvaas” (Dehydrated fasting). When Shri Manibhadra Veer Maharaj was pleased with his worship he asked Shri Shantisomji for his wish. As he was truly devoted but was getting old for pilgrimages, he requested Shri Manibhadra Veer Maharaj to visit and stay at Aaglod. So, he Shantisimji can worship him as long as he lives. Shri Manibhadra Veer Maharaj agreed and asked to take a “pind” from Magarvada and establish it at Aaglod. “Pind” is not the actual body part here but an object medium which can be considered as a human body. Thus, with all respect and with joyous celebrations, the second temple of Shri Manibhadra Veer Maharaj’s was established. In coming years a refectory and hospice was built and developed by Aacharya Ananddhan Surishvarji.
